The lights are going out in Driftfield.

Three Lanternhearts draw their glow from the wardens who wander these lands — and one by one, the wardens have gone quiet. Old Bramble thinks you might be able to reach them.

You will never fight anything in this game.

Instead, every creature you meet shows you a mood, and you have to read it. A skittish warden needs you to hold perfectly still. A curious one wants you to come closer. A wary one won’t trust an empty hand — offer it a glimmerpetal you picked along the way.

Guess right and it settles. Guess wrong and it startles, and if you push too far, it’s gone into the grass.

Every creature has its own temperament, so learning a species genuinely pays off. Verdantler is guarded. Emberkit is curious. Voltoad is always a half-second from bolting.

Three chapters, twenty wardens.

The Meadow — where the grass is warm and the light is still gold

The Frostfen — silver, slow, and cold enough to bite

The Gloamwoods — moss over old stone, and the First Light waiting in the dark

Creatures appear where the story says they should. Puddlop really does live by the water. Glimmox really does come out after dark. Voltoad really does prefer the rain. Wander at different hours, in different weather, and you’ll find different wardens.
